Pets Remembered Euthanasia Room
Bring your pet to Pets Remembered. We have a dedicated room for euthanasia where you can take the time to say goodbye in a warm, comfortable atmosphere where your pet can be cared for by a licensed veterinarian and our compassionate team.
The euthanasia is performed by a caring, experienced licensed veterinarian in our comfortable, private, home-like setting. Your pet will remain in our care and will never leave our building. The cremation follows the completion of the euthanasia, and you have peace of mind knowing that your pet is not transported elsewhere to be cremated. It is important to note that Pets Remembered will never place your pet in a bag and/or a freezer for a third-party cremation provider to pick up your pet and cremate elsewhere. The cremation of your pet will occur soon after the euthanasia is complete so your pet’s ashes will be available the following day.
Call us at 651-633-4564 or 833-633-4564 with the date when you feel it is best to have the euthanasia occur. It will be helpful if you also provide a range of available times during that day. This will allow us to better coordinate with our partnering veterinarian’s schedule. We will find the best time for the euthanasia and let you know when to meet at Pets Remembered. This is not an emergency service; if your pet is having a medical emergency that requires immediate attention please visit your nearest emergency vet clinic/hospital.
One benefit of having the euthanasia performed at Pets Remembered is to help disconnect the memory your pet’s death with your home. Families also appreciate that their pet is not being transferred from one person to another, multiple times, over the course of the next many days as may be the case with other third-party cremation providers.
Your home
Some people prefer having their pet euthanized in their own home. They believe their pet will be more comfortable in its own home environment, and so will the members of the family.

You have the option to have any veterinarian of your choice to come to your home to perform the euthanasia. However, almost all veterinarians have affiliation with other third-party cremation providers and may recommend you to use the affiliated third-party crematory. Please remember that it’s your pet – you have the final decision about what is best for your pet and can choose to use Pets Remembered instead. In this instance, you can bring your pet to Pets Remembered, or you can ask us to come to your home shortly after the euthanasia has occurred, and we will bring your pet to Pets Remembered. There is a fee for transport of your pet based travel distance (please see our Pricing page for more information).
Your veterinary clinic or Emergency Vet Clinic
Your veterinarian is often the ‘go-to’ person who has the deepest professional knowledge about your pet and most likely, provided you with a diagnosis of your pet’s health leading up to this difficult time. We pick up your pet for free from any vet clinic in the 7-county metro area, and we will deliver your pet’s ashes back to that same vet clinic for free, usually the following day
Euthanasia Fee
The veterinarian establishes their own fee, and you pay that fee directly to the veterinarian at the time the euthanasia service is provided. The veterinarian’s euthanasia fee can range from $295 - $395. The veterinarians who partner with us do not charge a travel distance fee or other types of similar fees for euthanasia performed at our Pets Remembered location.
The cremation fee for Pets Remembered is paid separately and directly to Pets Remembered. The cremation fee will vary depending on the type of pet (please see our Pricing page for more information).
