Bailey aka “Goober”
Bailey is and was the most amazing dog ever. If you ever met Bailey it took her seconds to make you fall in love with her. I have known for many years that Bailey was amazing, but the extent of her strength and love for me became inspirational in her last months. Diagnosed with bone cancer at the age of 10 only a week after fighting back from a twisted stomach and major surgery her love and dynamic personality never waivered.
Bailey loved first and foremost people! Even if you were afraid of her size at 150+ pounds or just not a dog lover, she captured your heart. Bailey also loved car rides, her pool or any water for that manner, Grandma, Uncle, cousin Morgan, bunnies and squirrels, taking walks, eating denta sticks, and anything where there we people or animals she was in.
I was blessed with the joy, support, and company of my sweet Bailey for 10 years. See Bailey was originally my dad’s dog, however after six months sadness took our home and my dad left this world way too early. I have always known because of this that Bailey is and was extra special to my entire family, but I can appreciate even more deeply what an amazing gift my dad gave me in Bailey. Her absence leaves a gap in my life that can never be filled- but her memories, zest for life, and pure unconditional love and strength give me the the strength to remember her with happy memories.
Bailey, Mommy loves you!
