Bo

Bo (Bodacious)
March 5, 2001 – July 14, 2013

While my heart breaks with the significant loss of our beloved Bo, it also rejoices in the memories and profound sweetness that was uniquely him. All who encountered Bo immediately recognized a gentleness and intuitiveness that was remarkable. Those closest to him understood his ability to communicate in his very own way…the steady and focused gaze letting you know you were in his “spot”, the “nose bump” in the leg to let you know it was time to move along, the “paw knock” demanding to be let back inside and, of course, the very loud “thump, thump, thump” of his tail telling you he was SO happy to see you. Never was this more pronounced then when Daddy walked into the room (Jon got his own very special version…more a full body thump).

I am so incredibly grateful to have been graced with Bo’s companionship, love and devotion for so many years. There are simply no words to describe how full my heart is with memories and love. And while it was so painful and devastating to lose him, he was able to add grace and serenity to his passing that only he could do. I know he planned it that way to make the experience easier for us. Jon and I were able to kiss him, stroke his head, whisper to him and all the while he got to slurp on a Frosty Paw…all the way to the end. How fitting….laughter through tears.

Thank you, Sweet Boy, for making our lives more full, our happiness more profound and our love stronger for having you share your special gifts with us. Your sweet nature touched us all and made us better humans for having known you. May you enjoy an eternity of bones, Frosty Paws, big sticks to swim after and many “babies” to carry around as pillows. Love You Always, Mommy
