About Bullet Williams

Passed on September 10, 2016

Bullet Williams passed away at 10:13 p.m. Saturday night in the arms of his human companion, losing his six-month battle against cancer after being diagnosed with Squamous Cell Carcinoma, a high grade tumor in the lower jaw that is incurable.

Bullet was born on March 15, 2003 in West St. Paul, Minnesota, and has resided in White Bear Lake, North St. Paul and Maplewood, Minnesota. He had a nearly year-long stay in Negaunee, Michigan, while his owner was deployed in the United States Air Force overseas during Operation Iraqi Freedom.

He was named after the old Superman comic book phrase, “Faster than a speeding bullet,” because he was a fast runner for most of his life. An avid hunter, Bullet kept his skills up by playing with his fake mouse during the winter, and hunting mice and moles during the summer. He also enjoyed drinking beer and eating catnip, though his one regret is that he never caught the red laser dot.

Early in his life, he was given the nickname “Court Jester” for his playful antics, but his role in getting his younger sister acclimated to their new home in 2006 earned him a promotion to “prince,” a title which he held for the duration of his life.

He is survived by his mother Svetlana, sisters Grace and Kit, along with his loving human companion, Jeffrey Williams. Bullet was preceded in death by his father Moe and younger sister Jordan. He will be cremated and no service is forthcoming.

The family thanks the veterinarians and staff of the Keller Lake Animal Hospital along with Dr. Claire Cannon, staff oncologist, and her staff at the University of Minnesota’s School of Veterinarian Medicine, for their expert care and sound guidance during Bullet’s medical care.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts in the amount of $13.50 may be sent to the Winn Feline Foundation to assist their fight against Squamous Cell Carcinoma and other diseases which affect cats. http://www.winnfelinefoundation.org/
