Cali Stethem

I said goodbye to Cali on April 18^th. Cali came to me when she was 8 years old. She was initially a foster but after some time I knew she was already in her final and forever home. She was the easiest kitty and very little phased her, she just always went with the flow. She had the most beautiful green eyes and she looked at you with so much love.

She loved to sunbath. She would lay for hours in the sun, moving from the front of the house in the morning to the back of the house in the afternoon. If she wasn’t sunbathing, she was looking for a lap. Nothing made her happier than to be snuggled up on a lap.

She was so sweet to her fur brother Grizzlee Bear and fur sister Gracie. They adored her constant and kind presence.

Cali lived to be 19 years old. She was arthritic yet always seemed to endure. Eventually her insides just failed, and we said our goodbyes as she lay snuggled next to me. She left this world with sweetness and love – just like her.

Cali – you will be greatly missed. The house is empty without you. I miss seeing you sleeping in your favorite places, coming out for mealtimes, pushing your way on my lap even when there was no place to sit and just your overall sweet presence. My CalCal, Cali Lily and Cecil.

I know brother Grizzlee Bear ran to you when he met you in heaven. You are now free of pain and can run and jump so big now. But I’m sure you will still choose to sunbath!

Gracie and I miss you dearly. Thank you for being my sweet girl.
