About Chloe Rose Jacobson
Passed on September 7, 2017
I had just started my first full-time job at Anderson Produce and decided I needed a dog. Our family friends, the Holens, had a sweet Westie and I instantly loved that breed. We had a bad experience with buying a sick Westie at the pet store at the mall so I decided to look for a breeder. I found one close to Owatonna me and my parents took a trip to see them. There were still a few left when we got there. I knew I wanted a female. I named her Chloe Rose. I remember she was smaller than a shoe and she snuggled in my arms the whole way home. I was in love with that little puppy! I was living with my parents at the time and my mom wasn’t too thrilled about having a dog in the house. She wasn’t a fan of dogs. Chloe wasn’t very destructive as a puppy though and it didn’t take long to see she was pretty sweet and adorable. Chloe was such a great addition to the Kallio family. She was so loving and cuddly.
In August 2006, I met Travis. Chloe adored Travis from the beginning. A short time later we got married and my dad told Travis that if he married me, Chloe came with as a “package deal.” My dad didn’t mind having Chloe Rose around at all, but she was my dog so she needed to be with her mama. Chloe loved having a mama and daddy and having a lot of attention. Then we decided we needed to add another Westie to the family so we found Dexter. Chloe didn’t know what to think of this new little guy. He was pretty annoying to her. A few years went by and we added a baby(Kylee) to the mix. We decided Dex was meant for another family so we found the perfect one for him and off he went. Chloe was pretty happy about that. She was once again top dog. We moved to a bigger house where there was a larger yard for her and then added another baby(Emma). Chloe was so great with our little ones. They would pull her fur and she didn’t ever snap at them. They would dress her up as all sorts of things and she just played along. She was so gentle and loving. By this point, Chloe was showing signs of age at times. We would make more trips to the vet and she was having seizures every so often. She was losing her hearing. We were having another baby Dec. of 2016 and I really wanted Chloe to be able to meet the new little one. Chloe was having many different health issues. It was a hard decision but since she was having problems and wasn’t eating much it was time to say goodbye. It was one of the most difficult decisions for us to make but we wanted her to be pain free. Gianna got to know Chloe for 9 months so we got a lot of pictures. I never would have dreamed that our girls would know my lovable pooch but they did and I couldn’t be more happy about that. She was the best dog and we will always remember her. She loved her squeaky squirrel, Mr. Ball, taking walks(her head used to tilt to the side when I used to ask her if she wanted to go for a walk, eating popcorn, following daddy all over the house and of course snuggling with mama and daddy.
Rest in Peace, our sweet Chloe(a.k.a Ro Ro, CR, Rosie)
Your family will never ever forget you!!!
Love, Mama, Daddy, Kylee, Emma and Gianna.
Chloe won the hearts of many family members and friends who will miss her dearly
