Fezzik McChesney-McPherson
October 1st, 2014 – July 5th, 2021

Our sweet boy passed on July 5th after an ultrasound revealed advanced lymphoma. Though he had been feeling a little sick for a few months, we never imagined that his diagnosis would reveal that he had only weeks to live. We chose to end his suffering, and he fell asleep peacefully in our arms.

Fezzik never met a human that didn’t fall in love with him. He was sweet, funny, and a bit of a dork, but it only made him all the more lovable. His favorite things to do were watching the squirrels run across the street, playing with the neighborhood kids, and rooting through the garden for cucumbers, strawberries, and any other crunchy things he could find to eat. He loved spending time with his Grandma and Grandpa up north on the lake, and every day after dinner, he would go to the mailbox with his mom or dad and bring the mail inside. If someone had food, or especially an ice cube, he would suddenly “remember” how to be a good dog and perform commands perfectly. He had a personality like no other dog, and his absence is profoundly felt by his family.

Fezzik is preceded in death by his big brother, MacArthur (2005-2019), with whom he had an unbreakable bond. He is survived by his mom and dad, and 3 kitty siblings.

Fezzik emulated the purest form of love, and our lives were made all the better for having him in it. We were privileged to call him ours ❤️
