George Wilen

2023 kicked off on a sad note as we had to say goodbye to our sweet George today. Back in 2008, I accompanied a coworker on a lunchtime trip to the Golden Valley Humane Society and it was love at first sight when I saw his cute face high on a perch. George never met a being he didn’t love; human, dog, cat, even mice. He greeted everyone with a nudge and would settle in on your lap, stranger or not, purring. Everyone was his instant friend. He loved to sing, especially with his toy mouse in mouth, and follow you around the house in conversation. George was the best, an always kind and gentle soul, and he will be forever greatly missed. Rest easy, buddy.
