Gofer was adopted from the local Humane Society and joined our family when he was three months old.  He was the perfect addition to our busy and sometimes chaotic lives.

Gofer loved to be loved- he enjoyed cuddling, post-call naps, and bedtime. He watched Santiago and Selena grow up.  From gentle chews on their stuffed animals to car rides to school drop off, walks at their practices, hanging out with Santi as he played video games and waking up Selena with licks and enthusiasm every morning.  He watched out the window until we got home, and greeted everyone who walked in the door.  He avoided the cold, and his little face would peek out the dog door instead during those Minnesota winters.

Gofer was sweet, gentle, and constant.  He moved with us across the country twice, and made my great grandmother smile.  He loved his dog cousin Zoey.  He helped his family through some difficult times with unconditional love.  We are so grateful for the sweet memories Gofer created and is a part of.

Gofer died unexpectedly at age 7, when we thought we had so much more time with him.  We miss that little guy.  He will always have a special place in our hearts.
