Isak Peninger Larson

Isak, a Potcake, was born in the Turks and Caicos Islands, BWI. His mother and siblings were rescued as strays by the Turks and Caicos Islands Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (TCSPCA). Potcakes are named because a common food among natives is a mixture of rice and peas made in a large pot. The caked on scrapings from the pot are fed to the feral dogs. Potcakes are a recognized breed in the Bahamas! In spite of being born in a warm climate, Isak loved snow! He had beautiful soft brown eyes that were windows to his soul. He LOVED tennis balls and long walks; loved naps by the wood stove in the winter months. He was protective of his family and property, but exuded joy to those he trusted. All of his life he gave much and asked for little. Our hearts are broken facing the days without him, but we are doing our best to honor his memory by finding joy in simple things…by remembering how much he loved us….and knowing that even at the end he trusted us and passed peacefully.
