About Izzy ‘Kitty’ Walker
Passed on February 3, 2022
4/25/2007 – 2/3/2022
Izzy, a truly beautiful soul and Italian Greyhound passed away on 2/3/2022 after being diagnosed with cancer three days prior, and just a two months shy of her 15th birthday. She is now in Heaven with her beloved black lab sister, Avery ‘Puffy’ Walker.
Izzy was the best of man’s best friend. We called her by just about anything except her actual name – Kitty, Cre-Cre, Cheeto, Ci-Ci, Bizzness, Cricket, B, Creepy, ChiChi, Beatrice, Izzy Bear, Gray Baby… She was way more than a dog, she was absolutely family and was treated as such every day of her life.
Izzy came into our family on 6/28/2007 and was a blessing every day she was with us. Her favorite activities were: going buh-bye, barking at pedestrians and bicyclists, especially motorcycles, cuddling as hard as possible for as long as possible, being under any and all blankets, sitting in the grass in the hot sunshine, the hotter the better, while chewing on sticks, getting treats, beating up her kong/clam toy to get a treat out, playing with tennis balls, chasing her Italian Greyhound sister Lily, being loved by her human brother Evan and sister Madi, getting fed almost any type of meat, chasing squirrels and rabbits, going on walks, ‘showing them’ by growling and shaking her tennis ball in her mouth, and especially spending time with her favorite person in the whole world, Daddy.
We had to say goodbye to Izzy so quickly. We feel very blessed as Izzy was diagnosed with a back injury April of 2021 and was not expected to get better. She made a miraculous recovery and God graciously gave us almost another whole year to love, spend and enjoy with her.
We will miss and love Izzy everyday until we meet again at the Rainbow Bridge. ❤
