Jack

JACK (April, 1997 – November, 2011)

Jack, our soft-hearted, loyal companion of 14 years helped us weather many storms, enjoy many snowfalls, and plant many gardens. He almost single handedly raised our two sons…he had a way of comforting them and loving them that superseded our best parenting skills. He had a passion for tennis balls, and was rarely seen without one or two in his mouth. Jack favored long walks in the woods and swimming in the river. He was the warmest blanket and the softest pillow in our home. We felt blessed every day to have Jack in our lives. We miss him dearly.

A beloved dog never dies…he’s always at your side, loyal and true. He’s the sand beneath your feet, the wind at your back. He’s the blue of the sky, the mist before the rain.

He’s love unconditional, joy unforeseen. He’s selfless, humble and wise, a permanent dweller in your heart. —Burnham
