Proceeded in death by Brother, Shama, and adopted Uncle, Charlie. Kiwi leaves behind her Mom, Rachel, 2nd Mom, Lu, adopted Uncle, Wayne, adopted Aunts, Mitch & Rita, Doris, Doreen, Lou Ann M. Caregivers, Carole & Julie, and friends including Mindy & Mirabel, Jack & Terry, Roxie, Dean & David, Ryan & Cassie.
Kiwi never met a lap or a shoulder she didn’t want to snuggle into, and with her amazing social persona, she endeared herself into the hearts of cat and non-cat lovers alike. Everybody looked forward to a visit with Kiwi.
For 12 years Kiwi could be found at the MN Aids Walk raising more money than her Mom could have done on her own. She attended softball games, Gay Pride Festivals and the MN State Fair. She appeared in costume at many of Doris’s Halloween parties, and, dressed in her tux, attended several Blessing Ceremonies.
Kiwi’s travels include trips to the North Shore, Alexandria, Southern MN and the cabin on Lake Lida. She journeyed through Wisconsin from Medford to Milwaukee, visited friends in Cincinnati and traveled with her Mom to Mt. Rushmore and Devil’s Tower. Kiwi enjoyed camping in the National Forests and running errands in the car. Most of all, she loved basking in the sunshine from her window sill or on her lawn chair in the yard.
From licking me on the nose to coming when I whistled for her, Kiwi has been my constant and special companion for over 20 years. She has given me more love and stories to share than I ever could have imagined, and I will miss her so much. Kiwi was the sweetest and most loving feline most of us have ever known. Such a big heart and soul in such a tiny package. And, somehow I feel her “spirit of love” isn’t done yet. Kiwi gave so much to so many for so long.
Farewell “Angel” Kiwi…..may you rest in peace.
