KOLE

April 20, 2000 – August 23, 2013

We had no intention of getting a puppy, especially a long haired German Shepherd. The day we met Kole, we were only going to look, but when he came running to us, our destiny was decided.

Kole gave us 13 years of joy, laughter and most of all unconditional love. From the very beginning Kole was a great puppy and grew to be a great dog. His job was to make us happy and never do anything wrong – he excelled at both. He loved to snuggle and have his ears rubbed.

He had a wonderful built in clock and would give a bark when it was time to do his favorite things, or send guests home when it was time for bed.

We miss the sound of his breathing at night, the tinkle of his tags, the bark when he was excited and the affection he showed us every day. We miss the walks and the water dish on the kitchen floor. We will miss his companionship around the campfire when we are camping.

Kole, thanks for showing us strength and determination even when your health was deteriorating; for wanting to be with us no matter what; for watching over us and for your love.

You are gone from us but we will hold you in our hearts forever. Thanks for the privilege to call you ours.
