Louie…Best boy, Good boy, Mama’s boy
Many years ago we brought Louie home from a rescue group to foster him and we knew right from the start that he would become a member of our family. It truly was love at first sight!
Before arriving in his forever home, Louie faced a tough five years of life as a stray at a reservation in the Dakotas. During his ten years with us, Louie gave nothing but love and expected nothing in return. Louie showed us how grateful he was for every kiss, belly rub, car ride, walk, treat, and meal. Louie’s beautiful spirit always shined, whether meeting friends or strangers, at home or in new places; his tail always wagging. He loved to show everyone his downward dog yoga moves, SWAT team ‘bad guy’ crawl, high fives and more. He especially loved his collection of bandanas, always holding his head high and still as they were placed around his neck.
Louie was the best mentor to each one of his foster sisters and brothers at our home. He shared his beautiful spirit and wisdom with every single one of them. Each of his foster sisters and brothers would take on his traits and exhibit his mannerisms and habits by day three of their stay. Louie would show every incoming foster that dogs deserve to be loved and feel safe. Louie gained the admiration of an entire neighborhood and every place that he traveled to; being car shows, boating, or road trips to Florida to visit family.
Louie is survived by his loving family members in Minnesota, North Dakota and Valparaiso, Chile and beyond as well as many other amazing loving family members, friends and neighbors.
