Mabel Seidl

Mabel was born December 1, 2011 and spent her first two years in Missouri living as a breeder dog. She was rescued from a puppy mill auction January 9, 2014 by Underdog Rescue and brought to Minnesota where she was fostered for a few weeks until I spotted her sweet little face and scared little eyes on Petfinder and I knew she had to be mine. My heart was still hurting after losing my first pup on New Year’s Day but as soon as I saw Mabel, I knew we both had healing to do and we could do it together. The first few days were tough but she quickly realized she was safe and she could trust me. Over the last ten years, Mabel has given me so much love and joy, more than I ever realized was possible. It wasn’t always easy, but to me she was perfect. My sweet snuggle bunny and daily dose of sass and silliness. We had almost ten years together but it doesn’t feel like enough. The stress from her rough start in life was too hard on her sweet little failing heart and on September 12, 2023, at 10:30 p.m. she drifted off to sleep as I kissed her little head and felt her soft fur between my fingers for one last time. Mabel’s favorite things in life were mom, her best friend little miss Chilidog, the occasional snuggle with big Meesha, and FOOD. She will be deeply missed and forever loved.
