About Mason
This is Mason.
I’ve had a lot of dogs in my life and they’ve all had their own special place in my heart but Mason was different. Adopted when he was about 12 weeks old, he came during a difficult time for me. As a puppy he had so much energy I honestly didn’t think I could handle such a dog. Although he had such a sweet disposition and such beautiful brown eyes all my worries just melted away when things got tough.
He became my rock. He became a reason to keep going, he showed me that life is beautiful when I wasn’t able to see clearly. We became inseparable. Whether it was enjoying a cup of coffee in the early morning sun on the back step or cuddling on the couch at night to watch a movie. His favorite was a long walk in the evening and listening to the Owls in the park. Oh and he absolutely loved his pool!
Sadly when Mason was only 6 yrs old he was diagnosed with IMHA, in laymen’s terms dog anemia. He was such a trooper and underwent 4 blood transfusions and a truckload of medication but lost his battle just 29 days later.
My life has been thrown into a tailspin again. This time it’s different because I know Mason is still with me in my heart. He would want me to be happy.
I will always be grateful for the short time we had together.
I love you so much buddy, until we meet again.
