About Meghan
Passed on December 1, 2014
Hi everyone,
My mom is helping me say a final goodbye to all her friends who have known me and loved me. Almost two years ago, my mom Linda discovered a lung mass inside me. She knew how afraid I would be to have surgery and chemo and radiation so she chose wisely and just gave me all the support and care I could have asked for. I had a very good two years. I swam and walked and traveled with Linda and felt pretty darn good considering I was over 13 when it started (and in human years that made me a very old girl). Well now I am well past 15 and I am getting very tired and I know soon it will be my time to pass on. Don’t be sad for me. I have had the most amazing life any dog could ever have. And at the end, I know that I will be held gently within Linda’s arms while she gives to me her last gift. Remember me with smiles.
AND: THANKS FOR EVERYTHING. I HAD A GREAT LIFE!!
“At the moment when someone says, “She is gone” there are other eyes watching her coming, and other voices taking up a glad shout: “Here she comes!”. I have had the amazing privilege of sharing more than 15 years with the most wondrous dog. Thanks so much to Dr. Charlie who helped me give her a soft passage into her next big adventure. She passed with the same dignity, grace and gentle spirit that she showed throughout her life. And thanks to Skip and Carol of the wonderful Pets Remembered Cremation Service for their professional and compassionate care of my precious pearl Meghan. My heart is broken into a million pieces. She was my companion, my friend, my heart, my soul.”
