Whether I needed to laugh or cry, Melvin was by my side; whether I needed to run or hide, Melvin was never far behind; even when I felt covered in darkness, Melvin would bring me light. To this day, Melvin loved me with all of his might. A medical condition may have taken his last breathe, but Melvin never wavered through the fight. His strength, selflessness, and unconditional love will inspire me for the rest of my life!

Your love captured the hearts of many. Your smile brought happiness and joy. You were my favorite hello, and my hardest goodbye. If love could have saved you… you would have never died.
