About Mikey
Passed on March 9, 2019
Mikey was born on July 4th, and came to us when he was a few weeks old, along with his four brothers. He was the runt of the litter, and it quickly became apparent that he was unique, so he joined our family.
Mike was always very expressive – whether that meant asking for a car ride, wanting to play, talking when he was happy, or any of his full range of emotions. He was also perceptive, and would always show up when one of his family members needed to snuggle.
He loved car rides, especially when they ended at the cabin, where he would run around and get into trouble – whether that was getting sprayed by a skunk, rolling in a dead fish, stealing one of his mother’s rawhide bones, trying to hunt, or sneaking off to see his friends.
He also enjoyed human furniture – whether that was sleeping in bed with his head next to yours on the pillow, any chair (the more padded the better), and especially the captain’s seat on the boat.
Mike left us on March 9th, having lived a very full 14 and ½ years, with his bucket list complete. He will enjoy reuniting with his mother, and eating chocolate without consequence.
He is dearly missed by all of those who knew him, and will always be remembered fondly.
