Molly, aka Angel Cake, Little Mo, White Tornado, and the Sugar in Sugar in Spice, died 15 days after her 10th birthday. Grand mal seizures caused by a tumor deep in her brain finally shook the life out of her after five months of treatment. It was heartbreaking.
Molly was a Bichon Frise-Shih Tzu mix that the breeder called a “teddy bear.” A daddy’s girl until my husband’s death in 2013, Molly was the sweetest dog anyone could ask for. One of our most memorable adventures together was a road trip to Rocky Mountain National Park in Colorado in 2013. In 2014, she became a big sister and best friend to our little rescue dog, Tucker. This winter, the snow reminded me of Molly: She loved to roll in the snow during our morning walks and to stand on top of snow piles like the “Queen of the Mountain.” So many wonderful memories!
