After a long and courageous battle with heart and kidney disease, Morrie passed with the compassionate aid of euthanasia services at the U of MN vet hospital late last night. Our hearts are broken, but we are sure she is in a better place. To know Morrie is, for most, to be able to admire her majesty from afar. With discerning and keen judgement, Morrie preferred companionship and affection with her human family above virtually all others. Morrie loved drinking water directly from the bathroom faucet, tuna juice, rotisserie chicken, taking naps in the sunshine and until her later years of cuddling, preferred sitting next to, but not on, members of her human family. We love her with all of our hearts and will miss her dearly. We wish to especially thank those who provided caregiver support over the years: Liz, Soren, Sarah E, Annie, Brian, Carol, and the staff at the Blue Cross Animal Hospital.
