About Opal Martinetti
Opal was found in rough shape in Florida by a pitbull rescue service. The original foster says she came right up to her car searching for help and hopped right in. It was clear she was coming from a bad place having her ears unprofessionally cropped, scarring across her body, and in bad need of a meal. The foster tells me that she was the sweetest pitty she’d ever encountered off the streets and she just had to take her in. Despite her past Opal had nothing, but love to give to the people around her from the day she was picked up. She was rehabilitated in Florida back to a normal weight, her scarring treated, and was driven down to Minnesota to be adopted for a forever home in Saint Paul. Opal certainly got the life she deserved as a Minnesotan lap dog. Anybody who greeted her was met with licks and cuddles. She wanted every moment around her people and was a wonderful companion. She loved playing ball, taking walks around the neighborhood, and destroying her toys in record time. Who knew a dog with such a rough past would turn out to be such a sweet, lovable companion? Opal lived the last half of her life to the fullest here in Saint Paul and will always be remembered for her sweet and playful personality. Here she is sitting next to her favorite ball after chewing apart her toy pig – a very special treat that lasted for a mere hour or so. Rest in peace, noodle.
