About Persephone Brown
Persephone L’il-Shit Liddiard, first of her name, Destroyer of Baseboards, Softest of the Buns and Chomper of Cords. She came into our lives completely unexpectedly in December of 2018. On August 5th 2024, just as unexpectedly, we got the devastating news; our sweet, sassy Bunny had passed. Persephone was and will always be an integral part of our family. She was with us through three moves, multiple job changes, the additions of our dog and our daughter. She was bold, adventurous and in charge. If she nudged your hand for cheek scritches, or hopped up to take her share of a banana, there was little to be done to stop her. Simultaneously, she was the most calming, sweetest cuddle bunny anyone could ask for. Having a panic attack? Pet the fluffy ball of Serotonin. Bad day? Rub those ears, and it won’t seem so terrible. She wasn’t just with us through everything, she helped us make it through, and she never lost her amazing spark. From doing laps all over our tiny studio apartment, to flopping down on the couch with the dog, to letting the toddler give her a check up with a toy stethoscope 7 times in an hour, through it all, she stayed our Persephone. There will never be anyone who can replace our rambunctious ball of warm fluff, and through our tears, we will do our best to remember; every time she made us laugh until we couldn’t breathe, all the comfort she so freely gave, and all the kisses and nudges we were so lucky to receive. May she feel every cheek scratch, kiss, nose rub and gentle hug we still have to give her. We love you Persephone, and our greatest hope is that you knew that and could feel it, all the way to the end. While it will never feel like enough time, we are so incredibly grateful for the six and a half years we had with our beloved Overlord. Take your throne as Queen of the Underworld, eat all the treats you desire, and rest assured, you are forever a part of our family, you are loved, always, and in our hearts, you most certainly will live forever.
