About Samuel Levi
Passed on December 23, 2016
Dearest Sam, you made my heart smile for almost 8 years. Returned to a cattery at 4 years old by an elderly woman who could no longer take care of you, no one wanted a 4 year old traditional “applehead” Siamese… they all wanted kittens. When I saw your picture, I was captivated. A sweet and gentle soul, you were the ideal companion for 6 years. And then you became a real trooper, bravely and successfully battling bone cancer resulting in a leg amputation and then intestinal lymphoma. You and I never lost heart and never gave up.
You told me it was time to go on December 22nd and on December 23rd you passed peacefully at home while I told you how much I loved you and always would. I was in need of a friend when I found you, and you became so much more than that. Trotting towards me with your distinct “meh meh meh” greeting when I called “Hi pumpkin pie” was all it took to bring a smile to my face. And when you threw yourself down on your side for belly rubs and brushing, in those moments all my cares would melt away. Caring for you was never a burden. You brought such joy and happiness into my life. I was lucky to have found you. I know I am a better person because of you and would not trade our years together for anything in the world. Rest in peace my baby boy.
