My sweet, sweet girl. My daily companion for nearly nine years. You left us so suddenly and so too early. I can only think that your angelic nature and healing presence was needed elsewhere more. My heart is broken and empty and I am so terribly lonely without you.

You ~ a gorgeous little red-headed, curly puppy came to me as a gift from a friend who knew that we would be perfectly suited for one another. You were so good-natured and you loved, loved, loved people. Our walks were always introductions to new neighbors and friends because you wouldn’t let me pass without allowing them the opportunity to give you a leg to lean on or a scratch between the ears. Your exuberant joy and enthusiastic jumps were my daily good morning and welcome home! My friends and family fell in love with you and your “rub my butt dance” was known by nearly everyone whose path you crossed! Lovely Scarlet ~ you are my heart.

I miss your head on the center console in my truck, I miss my hiking and swimming buddy. I will miss you on our road trip vacations and you snuggled up next to me on the couch in the evenings.

You’ll always be my Curly Butt, Swivel Middle, Pumpkin Face, Creamsickle Face, Red Head and Curly Girly. Mama loves you, Missy.
