About Sid Shepherd
It is with the heaviest hearts we let you know that our precious Sid crossed the rainbow bridge this morning in his foster mom’s arms. She told him he was a real good boy and how much she loved him repeatedly. His time with us was far too short but his genetic anomalies were too great. But we rescued him anyway. We loved him and we gave him the best life we could. We see the bad, but we still believe in the good. Sid was a gift. His story brought us all back to why we give our hearts to each dog we save, and how much we love them all. The tears seem endless right now, but knowing how happy he was with us, giving him the extra time to love him and a home filled with that love eases our pain a bit.
To Sid’s foster mom Darci, you are a blessing, a saint. You never hesitated to say yes when we found out Sid’s medical conditions were not curable and he would be a hospice dog. You loved him fiercely, gave him everything he could ever want and more. We love you for that. We cannot imagine your pain, knowing how bad our hearts hurt. Thank you, thank you, thank you for being exactly what Sid needed. ❤️
RIP sweet Sid, you will forever be in our hearts.
