Sophie Johnson

To say that Sophie was the sweetest pup around would be a massive understatement. She was beloved by everyone that met her because she was just so easy to love. Her easy demeanor, sweet little face, love of being cradled like a baby, and spunky personality ensured that she was a hit wherever she went (which wasn’t very many places because her favorite place to be was with her Daddy).

Sophie’s favorite pastimes included sleeping (and snoring like a freight train), cuddling with her Daddy, playing with her nieces and nephew in hopes they would share their snacks, and hanging with her sister, Gracie. She loved to prance around the house and demand that we share our cucumbers and strawberries with her. Her favorite place was the back of the couch, where she could rest her chin on her Daddy’s shoulder and fall asleep. In the last several months, she took up residence working from home with her sister, Sam, spending each day snoring at her feet while she worked. Her frequent appearances in video calls always brightened people’s day because what’s not to love about a sweet pup wearing her custom made flannel hoodie.

We’ll never know what we did to deserve this sweet girl, but we are forever grateful that she is a part of our family. Saying goodbye to our baby girl was one of the hardest moments that we have experienced. Our home feels empty without her under our feet, hoping that we’re going to drop food. We’re glad to know that she is no longer suffering, but miss her sweet face and bad breath kisses every single day. We know that waiting on the other side of the rainbow bridge was her Grandma to look after her and an endless supply of cookies to keep her occupied until we are reunited. Rest easy, sweet girl. We love you.
