Wallace 1.

About Wallace-Beechbank OGorman

Our beautiful boy Wallace was with us for 17 years.

Wallace was an extraordinary cat.  He was born in the Northern Highlands of Scotland to two of the winningest show cats in the United Kingdom.  He moved with us first to Montrose Scotland, then Dublin Ireland, and finally he obtained his pet passport and crossed the Atlantic to Minnesota.  Wally was always an indoor cat, but when he was 7 years old, he embarked on a cat version of Rumspringa and went outdoors in Minneapolis for a whole summer.  It was just something he had to do.  He would disappear for hours until he heard me calling him and then he would return.  Having satisfied this itch, he remained an indoor cat for the remainder of his life.  He would soon be joined by another cat and later, two dogs.  Throughout all this change, Wallace was consistently our sweet boy.  He loved human contact and climbed into any lap that presented itself.  Being a skinny chap, he loved all sources of heat, but most especially a sunny window.  He was talkative when dissatisfied and purred like a little engine when you held him.

He was truly one of a kind.  We love him dearly and he will be remembered always.
