Whitey Winger

Whitey was an Albino Pygmy Hedgehog born April 6th, 2018. We got him when he was 2 months old so he was a little jumpy and he seemed to be uncomfortable some of the time. He did finally become more at ease and was very fun to be with. He was my last boy and I Loved him so very much. I was hoping he would be around for a lot longer than he was, but I noticed blood in his urine which turned out to be a UTI. I took Whitey in a few times to different Vets which prescribed him with Antibiotics and pain meds. This seemed to help him at first and I was very hopeful, but after his first round of prescriptions were completed, he started having more problems with the bleeding. I took him in a couple more times and it was discovered he might have a mass obstructing his prostatic/urethra which probably was causing him to bleed. I could tell he was getting more uncomfortable and was in pain, so I had to let him go, which was very hard for me to do. I’m sure he is with his friends Bear, Sammy, Piper, Oliver Jr. and Oliver Sr. at the Rainbow bridge. I will surely miss and will think of him every day, I Loved my little Whitey.
